The hens will look almost exactly like a RIR, and they are excellent layers of large to jumbo brown eggs.
The RIRs used in the cross are from a very long line of bred-to-standard birds with very calm roosters and hens.
The Bielefelders are also a large docile breed, I've been breeding them for 6 years.
